Invest Bank Montenegro is the legal successor of  Pljevaljska banka A.D. – Pljevlja. The bank has been operataing since 1961. According to the new  Bank Law of the Republic of Montenegro, and Business Organisation Law of the Republic of Montenegro, change of registration of the bank was done at the Central Registry of the Commercial Court in Podgorica (reg. no. 4-00001690 dated 13.08.2002.). At a public tender in mid 2006, Atlas Group Consortium (comprising of AtlasMont bank - Podgorica, Fin invest - Podgorica and  Privatisation fund „Atlas Mont“ - Podgorica) bought state owned shares in the bank and became its new majority shareholder. Decision was adopted at the General Meeting at the end of 2006 to change the name and the head-office of the bank and accordingly change the Incorporation Act. The new name and address of the bank is: Invest banka Montenegro, logo abbreviation IBM, Bulevar Sv.Petra Cetinjskog 115, Podgorica.
