IBM’s Financial Engineering Arm focuses on state-of-the-art investment banking services such as helping customers to raise funds in the capital markets and advising on mergers and acquisitions, including identifying potential take over candidates. IBM may assist in public and private placements, coordinating with bidders, or negotiating with a merger target. Financial Engineering at IBM also encompasses corporate finance and treasury services, striving to ameliorate the corporate client’s asset and liability structure and to optimize client's financial income.
